Here's my little promo/postcard thingie for my art show. I spent the afternoon putting all twenty paintings up and I've already sold two! While I was still setting up the show! So exciting!
Here is another little painting entitled sparrow dancers. I'll try to show more in the coming days. Oh, and I'll be posting Kumi's 35-month update soon!

I am in the throes of painting and sewing and have only a couple of minutes to update. Kumi is feisty as always and the last month has found me shuttling my little social butterfly from one engagement to another.
I will let the pictures do the talking -- birthday parties, wading pool playdates, kite-flying, preschool dress-ups, oh my. Maintaining my almost-three-year-old's calendar is definitely a full-time job.
And I will post some sneak peeks of my paintings and dresses soon!

When I was in my twenties, I could pull multiple all-nighters and could function well with annoyingly perky enthusiasm. Now in my (late) thirties, I find that one night of staying up past 2am throws me off-kilter for days on end. I am constantly tired and catch myself pouring salt into my morning tea and absentmindedly mixing up the whites with the colors whilst doing laundry.
With an upcoming art show (just a teeny one at a coffee shop this time but time consuming nonetheless), dresses to design/sew/package for a local boutique, my husband's start-up company to assist with, and an increasingly demanding toddler to boot, my time is critically maxed out. I want my twenty-year-old stamina back! Things will be a little quiet around here as I try to figure out how to juggle everything.
Oh, the cluck struck midnight, and this old pumpkin needs to haul herself to bed. Good night!
