Today, Kumiko is two months old. She is an incredibly happy baby and if it weren't for the fact that my camera ran out of batteries, I would be posting a picture of her in all her chubby-cheeked glory. I fear that her pediatrician thinks I'm that kind of mom: we've been to the doctor's nearly everyweek for suspicious rashes, a possible yeast infection, breathing problems. In every case, we were told she is perfectly healthy.
The sleepless nights continue but every day it gets easier. She is a phenomenal feeder and has more than doubled her weight in two months...
More later. Motherhood suits me, I think. I love the slower-paced life (though paradoxically busy!) full of wonder that we're building. I love being part of a small little family. And she is so lovely she makes all the hard parts totally worth it.
Is this not the cutest picture ever?? This is MF at 2 months -- no wonder our daughter has so much hair.
365 days have flown by. Happy one year anniversary, honey. We are so lucky.
