Whew, now onto more pressing matters.

I voted this morning and though I never doubted that Obama would win, it's a relief to see the final results. Now I can focus on the truly important things like crafting.

Above is a dress that I made for Kumi's preschool auction that's happening on Friday. Apparently the school raises an astounding amount of money each year at their auction which helps offset the cost of the preschool itself. At $95 a month, it's considered one of the cheapest options in Seattle.

I arbitrarily decided that I had to make a doll with a matching dress as well and this is what she ended up looking like -- I think I'll call her Sascha.

I think she has that kind of eastern block babushka-dress thing going on. But definitely hip.

The toddler-sized dress is adorable when worn and doesn't look babushka-esque at all. My model was very reluctant to pose for me, however, so you'll have to take my word for it. I wonder how much the dress and doll will go for at the auction? I'm so curious to find out! I'll let you know after Friday.
