IF: Baby

This image is modeled after a friend's baby -- she was only about three-months-old at the time I drew this and I loved seeing her slumbering away in her infant car seat with one of those cute little padded neck-supports. She is a very stylish baby and rocked the house with her leopard print tights.

Such a sweet image! The socks rock!
Linda
So what do you illustrate for? And what media do you usually use? I love the socks!
A lovely illustration with good robust colours. And yes the outfit is wonderful.
Hi Prue! I've been doing more fashion illustrations lately but I just finished a project designing children's tights. My client illustrations tend to be digital but my Illustration Friday contributions have been watercolor. LOVE watercolor. I am SO impressed by your basket, by the way.
So does the designing children's tights mean that it was fabric design? I would love to get into fabric design, but I would also love to do children's book illustration, and design knitted garments, and become a world famous botanical artist.... too many things to choose, not enough hours!
Yep, fabric design. I believe they're getting manufactured right now -- when I get the go-ahead from my client, I'll be posting images! :-) It's so true...too little time, too many to choose...
Lovely line work and washes. Great colors too, what a cute (and stylish!) baby girl!
Last of the mogican.
