Just shy of two weeks

Time flies. These last thirteen days have been a blur and aside from a couple of short jaunts outside, most of my time has been spent breastfeeding on our living room couch. No one warns you that the afterbirth pains will render you incapacitated. My mom has been cooking up all my favorite Japanese comfort foods and doing laundry and taking care of us -- I don't know what we would have done without her. Kumiko becomes lovelier with each day.
